Welcome to the Cavitt Roundup!
This is what is happening at Cavitt Jr. High School:
Fall Dance 9/22
Cavitt's first dance of the school year has been scheduled for September 22nd! This is not your ordinary Back To School Dance. This WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) sponsored dance will feature Karaoke, a Photo Booth, Individual and Team contests, an Outdoor “Hangout Area” and of course cool decorations and yummy food! Get your groove on and join the fun! The theme is “Black and White”! No need to dress formally, just wear something black and/or white. School dress code applies.
The permission slip for this dance is attached to this message as well as available on the Cavitt website. Your student MUST turn in a signed permission slip on Wednesday, 9/20, Thursday, 9/21 or Friday, 9/22 when they purchase their admittance to the dance at lunch or break. Admission costs $5 and will not be sold at the door. You will also be able to purchase a "party pack" for $10 which includes admission plus pizza, a snack and water. Rather than handing out tickets, we will keep a list of students that have turned in their permission slip and paid admission (that way there are no “lost” tickets!). In addition to the party pack, which is sold in advance, some other refreshments may be purchased separately at the dance for $1 to $2.
Dance doors open at 6:30PM. Parent pick up is at 9:00PM. Parents need to come in to the big gym to pick up your students. We don’t allow students to leave without an adult – so please don’t ask your student to meet you in the parking lot. We will have teachers and chaperones at the door to make sure the students are leaving with an adult. Feel free to arrange pick-ups with your friends and neighbors.
We need more chaperones! If you are a parent or guardian who is interested in chaperoning the dance, you may contact Ms. Beyer at email@example.com
