Welcome to the fascinating world of electromagnetic radiation!
- In Section 1, we'll learn about the wide spectrum of EM radiation, how it travels in waves, and what that's got to do with energy. (Did you know that blue stars have more energy than red stars?)
- In Section 2, we'll find out that the light that's visible to our human eyes is only a fraction of all of the EM radiation that's out there in the universe. We'll talk about how and why we see colors and how colors mix.
- In Section 3, we'll look closely at the weird world of reflection and refraction of light.
- Section 4 is about the anatomy of the eye. And, yes, we will be dissecting cow and sheep eyes!
- We're going to skip Section 5 for now. It's about optical tools like microscopes. We'll be learning a lot about microscopes in Chapter 3 when we look deep inside cells.
