Course Overview
The Physical Education department aligns the curriculum to the CA Content Standards. For 7th and 8th Grade, the content standards
emphasize working cooperatively to achieve
a common goal, meeting challenges, making
decisions, and working as a team to solve
problems.
Students will be engaged in various individual, dual and team physical activities and
sports. Instruction includes basic skills, rules,
safety, etiquette, sportsmanship, and care of
equipment. Emphasis
will be placed on social skills, sportsmanship,
respect, fitness awareness, conditioning, and the
importance of daily physical activity.
