Physical Education

You will need to arrange your own ride home because the busses will have left by the time you are done. Some make-ups may be cancelled due to a meeting. Please see me if you need to do a different day because of transportation issues.

PE make-ups happen rain or shine. Make-ups meet on the bleachers out on the field. If it is raining they will be in the big gym! Please see me if you have any questions.

Cavitt PE Overview

The Physical Education department aligns the curriculum to the CA Content Standards. For 7th and 8th Grade, the content standards emphasize working cooperatively to achieve a common goal, meeting challenges, making decisions, and working as a team to solve problems.

Students will be engaged in various individual, dual and team physical activities and sports. Instruction includes basic skills, rules, safety, etiquette, sportsmanship, and care of equipment. Emphasis will be placed on social skills, sportsmanship, respect, fitness awareness, conditioning, and the importance of daily physical activity.
