Team 9537, Cavitt Jr High VEX Robotics, is open to 7th & 8th graders at Cavitt Junior High School.
The team will begin recruiting for the 2017-2018 season at the end of April 2017. The contact / application form will be posted on this page at that time.
The Cavitt VEX Robotics team is a student led activity that helps members improve on their building, programming, and communication skills using the VEX platform and VEX parts. We’re looking for:
Incoming 7th and 8th graders from Cavitt Jr High School extremely interested in VEX robotics and committed to participating in meetings, competitions, and required open house/show case events
Students in PLTW, or students who have demonstrated programming and robotics building skills
Parent mentors to help guide the team in new concepts, technical skills and productivity
Currently, the team meets at a member's home during the season and attend 3-5 competitions from December - February. The team also represents Cavitt Jr High School at the Placer County STEM Expo, as well as open houses.
Space in the program may be limited based on equipment availability, meeting space size/availability, number of technical mentors, and other factors.
