Welcome to Cavitt JHS!
Welcome Families!
I am excited about the promise a new school year brings to us – renewed enthusiasm, spirit and dedication! We have made amazing growth at Cavitt JHS and we are inspired to continue our efforts!
We are proud of our achievements as a school including being named a Gold Ribbon Model School for our STEM Program in 2015 by the State of California. Only 193 junior high schools earned this distinction in the state and only 2 schools in Placer County! We have been a California Honor Roll Scholar School since 2013 and then earned that award again in 2015.

Our students, in small groups and as individuals, have earned high praise this past year! The Cavitt Band earned a Gold Award during Spring Tour competition and the Outstanding Award for Trumpeters! Our after-school VEX teams did outstanding during competitions this year also. They won the Judges Award at the Golden West RoboStangs VEX Robotics Tournament. They were also a part of the Tournament Champions alliance at Sacred Heart Middle School VRC Tournament and advanced to the California State VRC Championship! Our students are invested in learning and demonstrating their skills and talents! We are so proud of our dedicated and curious students!
We are proud of our growth in every category and of our outstanding students' performance! We will continue to make decisions that we think will address our students' best interest as we ready them for their futures. We continue to implement the WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) program which supports our incoming 7th graders and new 8th graders, as it provides mentorship by trained 8th graders for increased social support and respectful behaviors between students!
